Oh Clouds, unfold
Thine Infinite Beauty.
Of heavenly hues too exquisite
To behold.
The power of light spreads out
Through breaks of cloud
And fans its way home to the blues
Of the heavens, sifting through clouds of white
Casting rays of glistening suprises.
Mixing colours of brilliance
Grey and greys
White and whites.
A parallel break
Allowing fanning rays to reach
Both North and South, Heaven and Earth
Revealing Omniscience.
Beauty and Life Essence pours
To the Souls who see and
Omniscient wonderment and
Omnipotent presence
Spreads its trickling essence from
The bony fingers of its white light rays.
Wrapping souls in its magic
Sharing life’s essence
From the sky.
Slowly and undetected
Omnipresent glory commands the skies.
A glowing Orb of golden brilliance
Arrives!
Its spreading aura
A cloaking entourage in identical dress
Turning moonlit greys and blues
Orange, with each unobtrusive caress as soft and
Gentle as a butterfly’s kiss.
Time to surrender to
That crowning glory.
Peace remains in salmon skies
As God retreats.
This is a poem I wrote a long time ago inspired by the amazing setting sun on the drive home along the motorway from Bridlington on the east coast to Pontefract, West Yorkshire. It was the moment when I was aware that God was back in my life.
