When I take the time to reflect on my day I get to enjoy it all over again. As I relive the day in my memory I see what a great time I had and how much I have to be grateful for. When I take the time to write down my reflections and then read it I see how abundant my life is and I am truly grateful. So three times I express my gratitude to the universe and the universe responds.
“Oh Maria likes this, let’s give her more of what she likes!”
Secrets of the universe and laws of abundance. Simple really.
Day 195 Thursday. When Helyn’s blinds are down it is pitch black inside and as I didn’t hear the girls this morning I didn’t wake until 8.30am. Everyone was long gone and Helyn again had taken George to the lake. At first I was disappointed that I had missed the walk but as it was still raining heavily it wasn’t so bad. I did a bit of yoga instead. I gave the girls all their souvenirs yesterday and the dresses that I had bought them.
The bags and purses, maracas with a female face and a male face, pencils and magnets like the Suzie Q ladies, raffia bracelets and olive oil soap with sea salt from Croatia was all received with great excitement. The magic Cuban wooden boxes though were a bit of a problem. We did manage to open Flora’s after Chris went on the internet for directions on how to! One down two to go. When Cherry went to her music class this afternoon Indigo, Flora and I played at Cuban shopping and I had to buy it all again.
The girls are great fun, with great sense of humour and occasional mischief. When we were waiting for Indigo to finish school we had a game of swing football and I became Notorious Nana, the demon striker and I enjoyed beating them. They had me laughing and laughing. They are very competitive but in a good way and they can be beaten. After tea I gave them their Easter eggs which also went down a treat. Flora especially relishes chocolate and hers was gone before you could say Jack Robinson. Cherry offered me a bite of hers, which was nice.
We played Uno and each of the girls won a game. I need more practice. Helyn needed to get the girls organised and into bed as she had a parents meeting at 7.00pm. We had a few nice stories and Flora gave me two wonderful bear hugs and kisses. I do love them. Cherry too is also very affectionate with her kisses and climbing up on knees. Indi still is very loving but becoming more grown up with her affections. Now for a well earned snooze.
